LaTosha Potter just wants a level playing field in a competitive cannabis market.The co-owner of CannaVibes Emporium said the medical and adult use cannabis dispensary at 1135 W. Dickman Road in Battle Creek is losing potential customers to pot shops in neighboring Emmett Charter Township because businesses there can stay open later on certain days.Under the current Battle Creek marijuana ordinance, cannabis businesses cannot operate between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. Emmett Township amended its ordinance to allow adult use and medical retail facilities to remain open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, closing at 9 p.
