BATTLE CREEK — The wait is almost over. After years of setbacks, New Holland Brewing Co. will finally open its downtown brewpub at 11 a.m. Friday, welcoming patrons to enjoy a vast assortment of beer, spirits and food. An amber ale appropriately named "Fashionably Late" will be exclusively available as part of the festivities. "Battle Creek's just been waiting for something to happen in this area," Julia Funke, general manager of New Holland's Battle Creek brewpub, said Tuesday. "I think that we're going to be really good for downtown.
