The streets of downtown Battle Creek are sure to be filled with holiday cheer this weekend as the Harper Creek Optimist Club hosts the 42nd Battle Creek Christmas Parade.A variety of decorated vehicles and floats will take off at approximately 5:40 p.m. Saturday from Champion Street and North Washington Avenue. The procession will travel down North Washington to Michigan Avenue before turning east and continuing down Michigan Avenue through downtown.The parade will wrap up at Commerce Pointe, near Division Street.
