BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are investigating an assault where a 66-year-old man suffered multiple skull fractures, a possible fractured jaw, and a brain injury requiring surgery on Saturday, November 5.Police responded to a call around 7 a.m. at 209 East Michigan Avenue to investigate a reported assault that was later determined to have occurred at the corner of Green and Charlton Streets.On scene, the 66-year-old victim was found to have several lacerations to his face and head, and was transported to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, and then later transferred to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
